The Rej3ctz

The Rej3ctz were an American electro‑rap group formed in California in 2009, emerging from the state’s party scene. The collective’s early work featured the underground hit "Rej3ct Stomp" and the dance track "Rej3ct", which garnered modest online attention. Their breakthrough came in late 2010 with the single "Cat Daddy", whose accompanying dance video achieved viral status and amassed over 90 million views on YouTube by October 2023; the single peaked at Number 97 on the Billboard Hot 100 and Number 77 on the Hot R&B/Hip‑Hop Songs chart. In 2011 the group released the mixtape TheFUNKtion vs theKICKback and CREEZTAPE in 2012, the latter featuring collaborations with artists such as DJ Carnage, DJ Mustard, T‑Pain, and TY$ and including the single "Peta Griffin." The group’s visibility expanded through television appearances on BET’s 106 & Park 10th Anniversary Special and The Mo'Nique Show, and through film features in We the Party (2012) and School Dance (2014). In 2015 they collaborated with Dillon Francis on "All That" with Twista, which was used to promote Scouts Guide to the Zombie Apocalypse and served as the recap for America’s Best Dance Crew season 8 finale. The Rej3ctz released the mixtape Homeless Billionaires in 2016.
