The Preatures

The Preatures formed in Sydney in 2010 with Isabella “Izzi” Manfredi, Jack Moffitt, Thomas Champion, and Luke Davison, later adding Gideon Bensen until 2016. After changing their name in 2012, they signed with Mercury Records and recorded the EP Shaking Hands in Los Angeles, which included "Take a Card". The single "Is This How You Feel?" won the Vanda & Young Global Songwriting Competition in 2013, earned an ARIA nomination for Best Pop Release, and placed ninth on Triple J’s Hottest 100. Their debut album Blue Planet Eyes was released on 30 September 2014, peaked at Number 4 on the ARIA Albums Chart, and received Gold certification. The group garnered three ARIA nominations in 2015. After Bensen left in 2016, they released Girlhood on 11 August 2017, which was nominated for Best Rock Album. The band disbanded in May 2021 amid contractual and personal issues. They reunited for a one‑off show on 10 December 2024 at the Lansdowne Hotel, reissued Blue Planet Eyes on vinyl, and toured in 2025 to celebrate the album.
