The Pontiac Brothers

The Pontiac Brothers were an American hard rock band formed in 1983 by Ward Dotson after his departure from the Gun Club. The group initially released their debut album Big Black River in France in 1985. This led to a deal with Frontier Records and the subsequent release of Doll Hut, which included half the songs from Big Black River along with new material. Guitarist Jon Wahl left the band in 1986, shortly before the release of Fiesta en la Biblioteca (1986). Following the 1988 album Johnson, the Pontiac Brothers went on hiatus but returned in 1992 to release their final album Fuzzy Little Piece of the World and embark on a West Coast tour. Dotson later played with the Liquor Giants, while Wahl formed Claw Hammer.
