The Planet Rock Allstars

The Planet Rock All Stars are a one-time supergroup formed in 2019 by Planet Rock, the UK’s leading classic rock radio station, to raise money and awareness for Mind, a mental health charity. Bringing together a powerhouse lineup of rock legends and rising stars, the group recorded a modern, guitar-driven version of John Farnham’s 1986 hit “You're the Voice". Spearheaded by Planet Rock DJ Wyatt Wendels, and produced by Toby Jepson (Little Angels / Wayward Sons), the project featured over 20 acclaimed vocalists and musicians from the UK, US, and beyond. The track was recorded at Vale Studios in Worcestershire and released digitally and on limited-edition CD in December 2019. It was part of Wyatt Wendels’ Road 2 Rockstock 2 campaign — a 2,000-mile charity cycle to raise funds for Mind. Some of the artists featured in the project included Alice Cooper, Joe Elliott, Lzzy Hale, Justin Hawkins, and Chris Robertson.
