Catherine Pierce and Allison Pierce form the duo The Pierces. The Pierces hail from Birmingham, Alabama, and debuted in 2000 with a wise, folk-influenced album, The Pierces. The failure of this attempt led them to New York, where they did it again with Light of the Moon, confirming a direction not very conducive to success. Finally intoxicated by the Big Apple, they changed style and released a sophisticated pop album with Thirteen Tales of Love and Revenge in 2007. The album was released in Europe in early 2009. It is followed by You and I in 2011 and Creation in 2014, before The Pierces announce a break in 2015.
