Alana Chenevert, known professionally as The Last Artful, Dodgr, was born on May 26, 1987, in Los Angeles, California. She began her music career as a rapper and singer, performing locally since 2011. Her first mixtape, 199NVRLND, was released in 2013. In 2015, Dodgr signed with Portland independent label EYRST, founded by former NBA player Martell Webster. Under this label, she released several notable works including the EP Fractures and a collaborative EP titled Rare Treat. Her single "Squadron" gained wider recognition in 2016. In February 2017, Dodgr and producer Neill Von Tally released their full-length album Bone Music, featuring collaborations with Myke Bogan and Natasha Kmeto. She also appeared as a backup singer on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon for Portland artist Aminé in November 2016.
