The Lancashire Hotpots, a comedy folk band from St Helens, England, formed in December 2006 by Bernard Thresher and Bob Wriggles. Their first single "He's Turned Emo" gained over 230,000 plays on MySpace in March 2008 and was featured on BBC Radio One. The band's debut album Never Mind the Hotpots became the Number One comedy album on iTunes UK. Following the death of founder member Willie Eckerslike in May 2010, Billy McCartney and Kenny Body joined the group. They continued to release albums such as Achtung Gravy (2011) and Now't Like the Eighties (2016), and performed at major festivals including Glastonbury and Kendal Calling.
