The Jive Aces, a six-piece swing band from England, were formed in 1989 by vocalist Ian Clarkson, drummer Peter Howell, bassist Ken Smith, and saxophonist "Big" John Fordham. They began performing at East London jive and jazz clubs before expanding through street entertainment across the UK and Europe. Their debut album, Blast from the Jive (1990), was followed by Aces High (1991) and Planet Jive (1993). The band's lineup later solidified with the addition of Alex Douglas on trombone and Vince Hurley on piano. Notable performances include headlining at the Royal Albert Hall in 2010. In 2012, they gained wider exposure as semi-finalists on Britainâs Got Talent. The Jive Aces have released several albums, including Life is a Game (2007) and King of the Swingers: A Salute to Louis Prima (2012). Their viral video for "Bring Me Sunshine" has garnered millions of views on YouTube.
