the HIATUS

The HIATUS, a Japanese rock band, was formed in 2009 by Takeshi Hosomi, the former vocalist of Ellegarden. The group initially started as a solo project by Hosomi, who wrote and produced the music with contributions from other musicians, including Masasucks on guitar, Koji Ueno on bass, Takashi Kashikura on drums, and Hirohisa Horie on keyboards. Their debut album, Trash We'd Love, was released in May 2009 and reached Number 1 on the Oricon albums chart in Japan. The band's first live performance was at Punk Spring 2009, followed by appearances at Nano-Mugen Festival, Rock in Japan Festival, and Summer Sonic Festival that same year. Their subsequent releases include ANOMALY (2010), Hatching Mayflies EP (2011), A World of Pandemonium (2011), Keeper of the Flame (2014), Hands of Gravity (2016), and Our Secret Spot (2019).
