The Hair and Skin Trading Company

The Hair and Skin Trading Company is a British alternative rock group formed in 1991 by Neil Mackay and John Wills, former members of Loop. The band initially included Nigel Webb on guitars and Richard Johnston on samples. Their debut album, Jo In Nine G Hell, was released in 1992 on Beggars Banquet Records, followed by extensive tours across Europe, the US, and the UK. The band's early albums drew influences from My Bloody Valentine and The Skids. By their third album, Psychedelische Musique, (1995), they had shifted towards experimental sounds inspired by Faust. After a period of inactivity, The Hair and Skin Trading Company returned with the album I Don't Know Where You Get Those Funny Ideas From in 2019.
