The Grassy Knoll is an American instrumental music group first active in the 1990s and early 2000s. Led by composer and multi-instrumentalist Bob Green, their debut self-titled album, The Grassy Knoll (1994), was released by Nettwerk Records and reissued the following year by Polygram. The album received critical acclaim for its diverse influences, including elements from Miles Davis' trumpet style to Hendrix's guitar work. The group released Positive (1996), which garnered mixed reviews but highlighted moments of strong performance. Their third album, III (1998), featured notable collaborations with saxophonist Ellery Eskelin and guitarist Thurston Moore. The Grassy Knoll returned with the album Electric Verdeland, Vol. 1 (2014).
