Jim, Stevie Ray Vaughan's brother, formed the band, which went on to make every beer hall in Louisiana and Texas swing. They recorded album after album to almost general indifference, until Tuff Enuff, produced by Dave Edmunds, brought them out of their twelve-year slump. Their formula: big Tex-Mex rock drawn from the blues repertoire, B. B. style. B. King-style blues with a touch of boogie. In 1994, Jimmie left the group for a solo career.
