The D-Day Darlings

Formed in 2008 in Wakefield (Yorkshire), British band The D-Day Darlings specialize in covers of World War II jazz and pop hits. The singers, led by Katie Ashby, reached the final of Britain Got Talent and signed with Sony Music UK, recording songs for the album I'll Remember You (2018), produced by Tim Woodcock and featuring the standards "We'll Meet Again", "White Cliffs of Dover" and "Don't Sit Around the Apple Tree (With Anyone Else But Me)", among others . Dressed in Royal Air Force uniforms, the singers continue to tour stages and events commemorating the Second World War. Several singles followed, including "A Christmas to Remember" (2019), "Sweetheart" (2020) and a version of "We'll Meet Again" with Shirlie Kemp, before the release of a second album in 2025, Victorious, featuring contributions from Randolph Matthews and Dominic Ferris.
