The Catheters

The Catheters was an American punk rock ensemble formed in 1995 in Bellevue. The founding lineup included Brian Standeford, Derek Mason, Paul Waude, and James Lysons, who was replaced by Davey Borozowski. The group added guitarist Lars Swenson in 1998. The band signed with Sub Pop in 1999 and toured with performers such as Sparta and Mudhoney. In 2002, the ensemble released Static Delusions and Stone-Still Days, which featured the recording "Nothing". This was followed by the 2004 studio recording Howling... It Grows and Grows!!!. The group became inactive in October 2004 following a final performance that featured the song "Fake ID". Standeford later established the project Idle Times, and Borozowski performed as a percussionist for the group Modest Mouse. The ensemble reunited for performances in 2013, including the Sub Pop Silver Jubilee.
