Athanasios Papakonstantinou, also known as Thanasis Papakonstantinou, born on April 26, 1959, in Greece, is a Greek singer-songwriter. After studying mechanical engineering in Thessaloniki and serving in the military, Papakonstantinou began crafting traditional Greek musical instruments. His career took off with the release of Îγία ÎοÏÏαλγία in 1993, followed by notable albums such as Î¤Î·Ï ÎγάÏÎ·Ï ÎεÏακάÏÎ·Ï in 1996 and ΠβÏοÏή αÏÏ ÎºÎ¬ÏÏ in 2006. Papakonstantinou has collaborated with prominent Greek artists, including Giannis Aggelakas, Melina Kana, and Sokratis Malamas. His song "Nanourisma" was featured in the 2002 film O Vasilias (The King). The documentary The Horns of the Bull, released in 2007, is dedicated to his work.
