Tesseract is a British progressive metal and djent ensemble formed in 2003 in Milton Keynes. The group consisted of Acle Kahney, Jay Postones, James Monteith, Amos Williams, and Daniel Tompkins. The band released its first demo, Tesseract, in 2007, followed by the EP Concealing Fate in 2010. Its debut studio album, One, appeared in 2011 and received the Progressive Music Award for New Blood in 2012. Following the departure of Abisola Obasanya, Tompkins joined the group, though the lineup saw changes with vocalists Elliot Coleman and Ashe O'Hara before Tompkins returned in 2014. The group's discography included the recordings Altered State (2013), Polaris (2015), Sonder (2018), and War of Being (2023). The ensemble also released live recordings including Odyssey/Scala (2015) and Radar O.S.T. (2025).
