Tchakabum is a Brazilian group formed in Rio de Janeiro in 1998 by brothers Marcelo and Nem Menezes, who served as lead vocalists, and dancer Gracyanne Barbosa. The trio debuted with the single âTesouro de Pirata (Onda Onda)â in ~2001, following earlier releases such as âLentamenteâ in 2018. Their discography began with the studio album Avião in 1999, followed by Explosão in 2003 and live recordings such as Ao Vivo in 2002. The groupâs breakthrough came with the single âDesce Sobeâ in 2016, which garnered significant online attention for its choreography and plays. Subsequent releases included âCavalonaâ in 2022, a collaboration with Gabily blending trap beats and pagode baiano, and the 2022 track âTubarão Te Amoâ by DJ LK that returned them to the charts. Tchakabum maintained a presence through national performances and released the 2019 single âPassinho do Ráâ.
