Tankus

Founded by singer, songwriter, and keyboardist Jaz Delorean, Tankus is a rock band formed in 2006 at the BRIT School in London, England. Originally known as Tankus the Henge, the eclectic group’s sound was influenced psychedelic rock, New Orleans Jazz, 1970s funk, and a fascination with groundbreaking authors including Hunter S. Thompson, Allen Ginsberg, Jack Kerouac, and Charles Bukowski. Tankus’ lineup has evolved over the years but Delorean’s dedication to their live performances and the group’s recorded legacy remains focused. While playing their own shows, the band also appeared on many festival bills including Glastonbury, Montreux Jazz Festival, WOMAD, Isle of Wight, Boomtown, and more. As Tankus the Henge, the group released their acclaimed self-titled debut album in 2013. That debut was followed by the Weather EP (2015), Smiling Makes the Day Go Quicker EP (2016), You Can Do Anything EP (2017), I Crave Affection Baby, But Not When I Drive (2018), and Luna Park (2020). By the time the group released their Valley of Distraction album in 2025, they had shortened their name to Tankus.
