Louisiana blues guitarist Tab Benoit perfectly combines his Cajun roots with blues-rock and Chicago blues influences, producing a result sometimes reminiscent of Stevie Ray Vaughan. He launched his recording career with Nice & Warm in 1992, then in 2002, with Wetlands, he delivered an album of perfect Cajun blues. Also in 2002, Whiskey Store was recorded with label-mate Jimmy Thackery. 2007's Power of the Ponchartrain and 2008's Night Train to Nashville were a hit with blues fans. Medicine in 2011 follows in the footsteps of these great contemporary blues albums.
