Super Moonies

The Super Moonies are a German pop group that was founded in Hamburg in 1998. They were formed in the wake of the success of the anime series Sailor Moon and combine Eurodance with thematically appropriate lyrics. The group consists of the singer Bianca Hanif (alias Kisu) and the dancers Gabriela Gottschalk (alias Sailor Moon) and Jascha Anantapongse (alias Tuxedo Mask). Their debut album Sailor Moon's World is released on August 3, 1998 and reaches number 5 in the German album charts and number 15 in Austria. It stays in the German charts for 13 weeks and in the Austrian charts for 14 weeks. The single "Kämpfe Sailor Moon" is released on September 21, 1998 and reaches number 58 in the German and number 20 in the Austrian singles charts. The album Sailor Moon's Winter Dream followed on January 4, 1999, reaching number 23 in the German charts and number 34 in the Austrian charts. The third studio album Die Macht des Mondes is released on July 19, 1999 and reaches number 31 in the German and number 49 in the Austrian album charts. The best-of album Silver Millennium - Best of Super Moonies was released on January 24, 2000. No further releases followed.
