SunSet Swish is a Japanese three-piece rock band originally formed in 2004 as a one-day unit after the sudden breakup of an earlier group. The lineup consists of Ishida, Tomita, and Saeki. They officially debuted in 2005 with the single "Ashita, Waraeru You ni", which gained attention as a drama insert song. Performing nationwide street gigs and live shows, they quickly expanded their fanbase. Their third single "My Pace"(2006), used as an ending theme for the anime BLEACH, broke into the Oricon Top 10, earning them a Japan Record Award for Best New Artist in 2006. The band’s 2007 release "Arigatou" became one of their signature tracks, used as the ending theme for the anime Ōkiku Furikabutte and later played at baseball player Atsuya Furuta’s retirement ceremony. They continued to find success with anime tie-ins and drama themes, releasing albums such as PASSION (2008) and Yuugure Maestro (2010). After a brief hiatus announced in 2011, the band reunited in 2014 and resumed full activity in 2015. They briefly rebranded as Swish! in 2017 before reverting to SunSet Swish in 2021. In 2023, they released their first full album in 13 years, titled ENCOUNT.
