Sunrise Avenue

Sunrise Avenue is a Finnish rock band founded in 1992 by Samu Haber and Jan Hohenthal, initially under the name Sunrise. It was not until 2002 that the band changed its name to Sunrise Avenue. After a number of live shows and the recording of various demos and productions, the band around singer Haber signed their first record deal in 2005. After releasing the first singles "All Because of You" and "Romeo" at the beginning of 2006, the band released the album On the Way to Wonderland in Finland in May of the same year. The third single "Fairytale Gone Bad" is released on August 23, 2006 and reaches second place in the Finnish charts. In Germany, the song is released as the first single, followed two weeks later by the album, which reaches number 3. The second album Popgasm, which was released in 2009 and contains the singles "The Whole Story", "Not Again" and "Welcome to my Life", reaches the Finnish and German album charts again. Out of Style then celebrated triple gold in Germany in 2011, and the fourth studio album Unholy Ground entered the German album charts at number 3 and the Finnish album charts at number 10 in 2013. After a short break and the release of the first best-of album, Heartbreak Century reached No. 1 in Germany, No. 2 in Austria and Switzerland and No. 4 in Finland in 2017. in 2019, Sunrise Avenue announced the dissolution of their band and said goodbye with the single Thank You for Everything.
