Steve Jolliffe

Steve Jolliffe, born on April 28, 1949, is an English musician. In the late 1960s, he met Rick Davies of Supertramp and played with him in the Joint before studying music at the Konservatorium in Berlin. There, Jolliffe collaborated with Edgar Froese in an early iteration of Tangerine Dream. He later joined Steamhammer, a blues-rock band that achieved moderate success in the early 1970s, contributing to their album Steamhammer II and co-writing the French chart-topping single "Autumn Song". After leaving Steamhammer, Jolliffe composed the music for John Samson's documentary Tattoo. He rejoined Tangerine Dream in the late 1970s, recording the album Cyclone (1978), before launching his solo career with Earth in 1981. Throughout the 1980s and 1990s, Jolliffe released numerous albums including Journeys Out of the Body (1983), Alien (1995), and Zanzi (1995).
