Stephan Bodzin

Stephan Bodzin, born 4 August 1969 in Bremen, Germany, is a DJ and techno producer with classical musical training who became active in electronic music in the early 2000s. He first entered the electronic scene with the 2005 single “Caligula” on Systematic Recordings, followed by the 2006 EP “Pendulum” on Spiel-Zeug Schallplatten, establishing his reputation for melodic techno. In 2007 he released his debut album Liebe ist… on his own Herzblut label, a milestone that launched a series of subsequent releases including Powers of Ten (2015) and Boavista (2021). Throughout his career, Stephan Bodzin has collaborated with Oliver Huntemann on productions associated with the Rekorder imprint and with Marc Romboy on joint releases, expanding his international profile. He has been featured on labels such as Get Physical Music and Datapunk. Stephan Bodzin’s work has been recognized for its influence on the contemporary techno scene, with Powers of Ten receiving critical acclaim for its atmospheric depth and tracks such as “Tron” becoming widely played in clubs following their release.
