Stand High Patrol

Stand High Patrol was formed in 2001 by DJs Rootystep and Mac Gyver, who were soon joined by MC Pupajim. Hailing from Rennes (Ille-et-Vilaine), this sound system—in the purest Jamaican tradition—tours bars and venues throughout Brittany. Stand High Patrol has developed a distinctive dub style that appeals far beyond the genre’s usual audience. Stand High Patrol founded its own label in 2009 and released its debut album, *Midnight Walkers*, in 2012. A regular at festivals such as the Télérama Dub Festival and Rototom Sunsplash in Benicassim, Spain, Stand High Patrol broke into the top 200 best-selling French albums with *A Matter of Scale* (2015), followed by *The Shift* (2017). In 2018, the trio contributed to singer Marina P’s album *Summer on Mars *. They subsequently produced the albums *Our Own Way* (2020), *Underground Oasis * (2025), and *Skanking & Jacking* (2026).
