Spinnerette

Spinnerette was an American alternative rock band formed in 2007, serving as a vehicle for Brody Dalle's solo career following the breakup of her previous band, The Distillers. The band featured Tony Bevilacqua on guitar, Alain Johannes on bass, and Jack Irons on drums. They released their digital EP Ghetto Love in 2008, and the single "Sex Bomb". Their eponymous full-length album was released in 2009 via Anthem/Hassle Records and featured notable singles such as "Baptized by Fire" and "All Babes Are Wolves". The band toured extensively throughout 2009, performing at major festivals like Leeds & Reading. In 2010, they won Best Pop/Rock Album at the Independent Music Awards for their debut album. Dalle discontinued using the Spinnerette moniker in 2010 and continued her solo career under her own name.
