SOUS-SOL

Sous-Sol (born Roberto “Robbie” Guillermo Martínez Pérez in Chihuahua, Mexico) is a Mexican singer-songwriter who emerged in the late 2010s with intimate, guitar-led pop and plain-spoken lyrics. After early shows around northern Mexico and a handful of independent uploads, he introduced his project with the debut EP Mucho Gusto on July 20, 2018, a four-song set that included “Bien,” “Me Ven,” “Lejos de Mí,” and the signature track “Espacio.” In the same period he issued stand-alone songs such as “Déjate Querer” (featuring Vannia) and “Solo,” building a small but consistent catalog. He followed with his first full-length, Mi Berrinche (2019), which expanded the palette beyond the early EP while preserving the close-mic’d vocals, diaristic writing, and gentle dynamics that defined his earliest work; songs like “Agua con Chía” underlined a taste for conversational hooks over spare arrangements. In early 2020 he revisited the breakout material with an expanded project titled Espacio, presenting a fuller snapshot of his melodic pop approach while maintaining the Sous-Sol moniker across releases, artwork, and live appearances. He followed this with other critically praised albums such as Manifesto (2021), Satura Ó D, de Crescendo (2024), and n (2025).
