Soovi (수비), born Lee Soobin on November 28, 1997, in Madrid, Spain, is a South Korean R&B artist known for her expressive vocals and genre-blending sound rooted in alternative R&B. She made her official debut on September 15, 2019, with the single "Chained Up in Diamonds", a vocally driven track that introduced her refined tone and emotional delivery. Drawing from personal experiences and everyday observations, Soovi’s music often explores love, desire, and inner conflict with honesty and nuance. Her 2020 single "Make the Move" was inspired by the push-and-pull dynamics of modern dating in Korean society, encouraging directness rather than emotional guesswork, while "ASAP!" (2021) famously came to life after she found inspiration during a workout, reflecting multiple emotional states through a one-person, three-role music video concept. These contrasting releases highlighted her versatility, from playful rhythms to introspective moods. Soovi continued to expand her artistry with the EP a tempo (2023) and singles such as "Another Love Song" (2024) and "What Should I Do?" (2025).
