Solo, an American R&B group from New York, were formed in 1995 by Robert Anderson, Darnell Chavis, Eunique Mack and Daniele Stokes. The group's debut album Solo was recorded in Minneapolis and released in September 1995 via Perspective Records. Production for the album was primarily handled by producers Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis. The album featured four singles: "Heaven", "Where Do U Want Me to Put It", "He's Not Good Enough" and "Blowin' My Mind". Solo was certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), and the album's success helped establish Solo as a prominent act in the contemporary R&B scene. The group released their second album, 4 Bruthas & A Bass, in September 1998. This LP produced only one single, "Touch Me", which peaked at number 59 on the Billboard Hot 100. 4 Bruthas & A Bass showcased the group's continued evolution as artists and their ability to blend soulful vocals with contemporary R&B production. 2015 saw the release of a deluxe edition of their second album, titled 3.0 Rebooted Deluxe, featuring additional tracks and remixes.
