Softcult, a Canadian dream rock duo from Kitchener, Ontario, was formed in 2020 by twin siblings Phoenix ArnâHorn and Mercedes ArnâHorn. Their debut single, "Another Bish", launched in January 2021, followed by the EP Year of the Rat on Aprilâ¯2021 through Easy Life Records, marking their breakthrough. In 2022, they released Year of the Snake and the single "One of a Million", expanding their fan base. The duoâs third EP, Seeâ¯Youâ¯inâ¯theâ¯Dark, debuted Marchâ¯2023 and earned a Juno Award nomination for Alternative Album of the Year in 2024. Inâ¯Mayâ¯2024, Softcult issued Heaven, and in 2026 they released their first fullâlength album, Whenâ¯Aâ¯Flowerâ¯Doesnâtâ¯Grow.
