Skarbone 14

Belgian brassy ska-rock outfit Skarbone 14 was formed in Leuze-en-Hainaut in 2001. The band, made up of Sim (vocals), Jonbeat (bass), Jef (guitar), Greg and Manu (trumpets), Le Baron (saxophone) and Max (drums) quickly made a name for themselves with their explosive stage performances, in a style made for festival stages. A first six-track EP, Jamais Sans Mon Slip! (2003), was released before the real debut album Trèves de Plaisanteries in 2005. Skarbone 14's lyrics (about social injustice, politics and ecology) make them a committed band, as does their decision to be entirely self-produced. Buoyed by word of mouth, the band toured extensively in France, Germany, the Czech Republic and Canada. On their third album, Sattelites (2009), the musicians invited the group Les 100 Grammes de Tête and Malian percussionist Baba Sissoko. The band then produced Curieux Monde (2013), On Partage Un Temps (2018) and Des Souvenirs à la Pelle (2021), before a tour celebrating twenty years of existence. In 2026, they released their first live album, Mieux Vaut Live Que Jamais!
