Skakeitan, a Basque music band formed in San Sebastián, Spain, in 2008, began their journey with early recordings at Higain Studios in Usúrbil. Their debut album Ahots gabekoen ahotsa was released in September 2012 and marked the start of their career. In 2014, they released Orekariak, which was funded through crowdfunding and received positive support from fans. The band gained significant exposure by performing with Manu Chao at a concert attended by 40,000 people. Skakeitan's subsequent albums include Galera (2016) and Nola galdu denbora (2019). They have also participated in the major reggae festival Rototom Sunsplash in Benicasim and embarked on international tours, including performances in Japan and Switzerland. The band has also collaborated with Bad Manners for various concerts across Spain.
