Shekhinah

Shekhinah Thandi Donnell, known mononymously as Shekhinah, was born on October 2, 1994, in South Africa and is a singer. She gained recognition by reaching the top 32 of M-Net's Season 7 of SA Idols in 2011 and the top 6 of Season 8 in 2012. In 2017, Shekhinah released her debut studio album, Rose Gold, which was certified multi-platinum by RiSA. The album featured three number-one singles: "Suited", "Please Mr." and "Different". It earned her six nominations at the 2018 South African Music Awards, winning Newcomer of the Year, Album of the Year, and Female Artist of the Year. Her second studio album, Trouble in Paradise, was released on May 7, 2021, and was certified gold by RiSA. Her third album, Less Trouble, was self-released in 2025.
