Singer/songwriter, DJ, and record producer SG Lewis was born Samuel George Lewis on July 9, 1993 in Reading, England. Though he started his musical education playing in various rock bands as a teenager, he developed an interest in dance music. He started toying with other people’s songs, and eventually established himself during a stint as a resident DJ at the Chibuku Club in London. While there he was exposed to the styles of several different fellow DJs. He began writing his own tracks, often featuring sensitive lyrics and released his debut EP, Shivers, in 2015. His second EP, Yours, followed in 2016. He collaborated with Toulouse on 2017’s “Times We Had” and with Col3trane on “Smart Aleck Kill” that same year. In 2018 he released the first of three EPs which would eventually be combined into his debut album. 2018’s Dusk and Dark, and 2019’s Dawn reveled in club culture, featuring atmospheric tracks using numerous subgenres of electronic dance music, and included collaborations with Clario, J Warner, and Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs among others. The three were released as the LP Dusk Dark Dawn in 2019. He collaborated with pop star Robyn and Channel Tres on the 2020 single “Impact", then with Lucky Daye for "Feed the Fire". After the singles "Time" (2020), "One More" (2021) and "Heartbreak on the Dancefloor" with Frances (2021), the next year saw the releases of "Missing You/Something About Your Love", "Vibe Like This" with Ty Dolla $ign and Lucky Daye, "Call on Me" with Tove Lo, and "Lifetime", ahead of the sophomore album AudioLust & HigherLove (2023), featuring "Fever Dreamer" with Charlotte Day Wilson and Channel Tres. The following year, SG Lewis pursued with collaborations with Shygril, Chloé Caillet, DJ Seinfeld, Loods, and Carlita. In 2025 appeared the singles "Back on My Mind", "Sugar" with Shygirl and "Feelings Gone" with London Grammar, all included in the third full-length Anemoia, also featuring TEED, Frances, RAHH, and Oliver Sim.
