sEODo BAND is a South Korean five-member band led by vocalist sEODo (real name Seo Jae-hyun), widely recognized as the pioneer of “Joseon Pop,” a genre that fuses traditional Korean music with modern pop and world music elements. sEODo began studying pansori at the age of five and later attended a traditional music middle school, laying a solid foundation in Korean classical music. However, his growing interest in contemporary music led him to study composition in the Department of Applied Music at Dong-Ah Institute of Media and Arts, where he began crafting a sound that blends Korea’s musical heritage with global pop sensibilities. Formed around sEODo’s vision, the band includes Kim Sung-hyun (keyboard), Yeon Tae-hee (guitar), Kim Tae-ju(bass), Lee Hwan (drums), and Park Jin-byung (percussion). Together, they have developed a unique soundscape that transcends genre boundaries, marked by emotive vocals, traditional melodic motifs, and contemporary arrangements. Since their debut, sEODo BAND has released a number of critically acclaimed works, including the EPs Moon: Disentangle (2021) and Break Through (2024), and singles like "Colorful Korea" and "A Sea of Us" (2025).
