Semblant

Semblant, a Brazilian melodic death metal band from Curitiba, Paraná, was formed in 2006 by vocalist Sergio Mazul and keyboardist J. Augusto. Their demo Behold the Real Semblant (2008) led to opening slots for Tristania and Nightwish. The group's first album, Last Night of Mortality, was released in May 2010 on Free Mind Records. Following vocalist Katia Shakath's departure, Mizuho Lin joined the band. Their second album, Lunar Manifesto (July 2014), received critical acclaim and was published internationally by EMP Label Group. In March 2020, their third studio album, Obscura, was released via Frontiers Records. The band's first European tour, initially planned for April 2020, was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic and eventually took place in July 2022. During this period, they worked on their next album, Vermilion Eclipse, which was released in April 2022.
