Selera

Selera is a rapper from Reunion Island, originally from the Gol-les-Hauts neighborhood in Saint-Louis, a place that has had a profound influence on his artistic universe. Born into a white Creole family, his work explores the duality of his identity and the social realities of Reunion Island. Active on the music scene for several years now, Selera's work is rooted in the trap genre and the island's traditional sounds, skilfully blending Creole and French in his lyrics. He made a name for himself with his mixtape Crack Muzik, Vol.1 in 2024, an introspective project in which he tackled themes such as the quest for identity, social inequality and the cultural richness of his island. This project marked a turning point in his career, consolidating his place among Réunion's emerging artists. Selera has also stepped up his collaborations with local figures such as Eskro and ZL50, demonstrating his commitment to Réunion's music scene.
