Sebastian Karlsson

Mikael Sebastian Karlsson, known professionally as Sebastian, is a Swedish pop and rock singer who was born in 1985 in Morgongåva. He gained national prominence in 2005 as the runner-up in the second season of the talent show Idol. He achieved a radio breakthrough in 2006 with the debut single “Do What You’re Told”, which was followed by his eponymous debut studio album, Sebastian (2006). The recording reached Number 1 on the Swedish charts and earned a gold certification from IFPI Sweden for sales of 30,000 copies. In 2007, Karlsson competed in the Melodifestivalen with the song “When the Night Comes Falling”, finishing eighth in the final. His second studio album, The Vintage Virgin (2007), also achieved gold status and featured the successful single “Words and Violence”. His discography includes the studio album The Most Beautiful Lie (2009) and the 2011 Melodifestivalen entry “No One Else Could”.
