SDN48

SDN48, a Japanese girl group formed in July 2009 under the direction of producer Yasushi Akimoto, was created as an adult-oriented counterpart to AKB48. Initially composed of twenty members, including four from AKB48—Kayo Noro, Yukari Sato, Megumi Ohori, and Kazumi Urano—the group aimed to provide Saturday night performances for a mature audience. SDN48's debut single "GAGAGA" was released on November 24, 2010, marking their entry into the music scene. The group continued with subsequent singles such as "Ai、Cyuseyo" (released April 6, 2011) and "MIN・MIN・MIN" (August 17, 2011). Their first EP, Kudokinagara Azabujuban Duet With Mino Monta, was released on January 1, 2012. The group's final album, NEXT ENCORE, was released on March 14, 2012 and their last album, Yuuwaku no Garter was released post-disbandment on March 28, 2012. SDN48's music often featured a more mature and provocative image compared to AKB48, with songs like "Kudokinagara Azabu-Jūban" (released December 28, 2011) and "Makeoshimi Congratulation" (March 7, 2012). SDN48's disbandment was announced in February 2012, with their final performance taking place at the AKB48 Theater in Tokyo on March 31, 2012.
