Sauce Walka, born Albert Walker Mondane on June 29, 1990 in Houston, Texas, is an independent rapper and entrepreneur who began his music career in 2007 under the alias A‑Walk with the group Mostheard. He adopted the name Sauce Walka in 2014, releasing mixtapes and forming the duo Sauce Twinz with Sancho Saucy, releasing projects such as Sauce Ghetto Gospel (2018). Sauce Walka is especially known for his prolific mixtape output, including the well-known Drip God series, Sauceman series, and Sauce Gone Wild, which helped popularize the slang term “drip” in hip-hop culture. In 2015, he gained notoriety for his diss track “Wack 2 Wack” aimed at Drake, accusing him of appropriating Houston culture. He established the label The Sauce Factory (TSF) in 2014 to develop local talent including Peso Peso and Rizzoo Rizzoo. Known for his vibrant personality, rapid-fire tongue-twisting delivery, street-savvy lyricism, and flamboyant fashion sense, he has collaborated with artists like A$AP Rocky, Travis Scott, Migos, Bun B, and Maxo Kream. In March 2025, he was injured in a targeted shooting in Memphis (shot in the thigh) during which another rapper, Sayso P, was killed; he is expected to recover.
