Sarah Schachner, born on March 26, 1988, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, is an American composer and electronic musical instrument player. She began playing the piano at age five and the violin at seven, later learning the alto and cello. Sarah Schachner attended Berklee College of Music in Boston before moving to Los Angeles. Her breakthrough came when she collaborated with Brian Tyler on Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 (2011), which sparked her interest in composing for video games. Notable works include scores for Assassin's Creed Origins (2017), Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare (2016), and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II (2022). She received a nomination from the International Film Music Critics Association for Best Original Score for a Video Game or Interactive Media for Assassin's Creed Unity. Sarah Schachner also composed scores for the films Prey (2022) and Predator: Badlands with Benjamin Wallfisch (2025).
