Sarah Lombardi

Sarah Engels, who was called Sarah Lombardi from 2013 to 2021, is a German singer who was born in Cologne on October 15, 1992. From the age of eleven, she performed at school and street festivals and took singing lessons. She became famous in 2011 through her participation in the casting show Deutschland sucht den Superstar and came second. On the day of the final, her first single "Call My Name" is released, which is produced by Dieter Bohlen and reaches second place in the German, Austrian and Swiss singles charts. In June 2011, she released her second single"I Miss You" as a duet with DSDS winner Pietro Lombardi and her debut album Heartbeat, both of which reached number 2 in the German charts. From 2013, she performs musically together with her husband Pietro Lombardi as the duo Sarah & Pietro, releasing the duo's first single, the ballad "Dream Team" , in mid-March 2013, as well as the album of the same name."Neverland" becomes Sarah & Pietro's first German-language single in 2015. The album Teil von mir, also in German, is released in March 2016 and reaches number 35 in the charts in Switzerland and Germany. For a new musical beginning, the singer started performing under the name Sarah in 2018 and released the single"Genau hier" in April 2018, followed a month later by the album Zurück zu mir. The album entered the German and Austrian album charts at number 18. Together with DJ Herzbeat, she released the single Weekend in March 2019; the music video received over 12 million views on YouTube. Together with Pietro Basile, she released the single "Ich liebe nur dich" in September of the same year, on which she sings in Italian for the first time. She has been under contract with the record label Ariola since the end of April 2020, where her album Im Augenblick was released in April 2021, reaching number 8 in the German, number 16 in the Austrian and number 26 in the Swiss album charts.
