Sara Niemietz

Sara Anne Niemietz, born on June 7, 1992, in Chicago, Illinois, is an American singer-songwriter and actress based in Los Angeles, California. She first appeared on stage at age four with B.J. Thomas, singing "Hooked on a Feeling." Niemietz began performing in Chicago and Broadway theater productions, including Hollywood Arms (2002), and appeared in the film Akeelah and the Bee (2006). Her early music releases include the EPs Live at the Cat Club (2003) and Without a Net (2006). Niemietz gained attention with her cover of "Rolling in the Deep" by Adele, which garnered 7 million views on YouTube. She appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show in May 2011 and charted number 14 on Billboard's Next Big Sound in January 2012. Niemietz collaborated with B.J. Thomas on his album The Living Room Sessions (2013), performing "Hooked on a Feeling" together, and released albums including Travel Light (2017) and Get Right (2019). She is also a regular cast member of Postmodern Jukebox, appearing on multiple albums and television specials.
