Sara Groves

Nancy Lee Colbaugh, known as Sara Groves, was born on 10 September 1972. She is a contemporary Christian singer from Burnsville, Minnesota. Groves began her career after earning a Bachelor of Science in History and English from Evangel University. She taught high school before releasing her debut album, Past the Wishing, in 1998. Over the next decade, she issued albums such as Add to the Beauty (2005), Tell Me What You Know (2007), and Fireflies & Songs (2009), each charting on Christian music lists. Collaborations with Stephen Mason of Jars of Clay and Randy Stonehill, along with tours like Andrew Peterson's Behold the Lamb of God Tour in 2007 and the Art*Music*Justice Tour in 2008, solidified her presence in contemporary Christian music. Groves' work has earned her nominations for three Dove Awards.
