Salut les copains was originally a radio show broadcast from October 1959 on Europe 1. For the youth of the Trente Glorieuses, it quickly came to symbolize the beginnings of rock'n'roll and the yé-yé wave. It was the blessed era of the Teppaz record player, idols, Vespas, flirts and surpates, a carefree period when everything was bath. In 2012, the atmosphere of the sixties is recreated by the musical Salut Les Copains and its cast of actors and singers. A cover of France Gall's Serge Gainsbourg song "Laisse tomber les filles" was released in June 2012 to herald the show. The show opened on October 18, 2012 at the Folies Bergères in Paris, before embarking on a nationwide tour where twist and jerk will be king.
