Mir Salar Moslemi Aghili, known professionally as Salar Aghili, was born on December 2, 1977, in Tehran, Iran. He is a singer of Persian classical music. Aghili began his musical journey under the tutelage of Sadigh Tarif and Mohammad Reza Shadjarian before joining the Iranian National Orchestra. His early collaborations included working with traditional music ensembles such as Ensemble Dastan and Ensemble Hamnavazan, as well as the Tehran Symphony Orchestra. Aghili's discography spans over a decade, beginning with Endless Ocean in 2007 alongside Ensemble Dastan. Notable releases include In the Name of the Red Rose (2009), Asheghi (2010), and In the Footprints of Rumi (2012) with Ensemble Rumi. He has also collaborated on albums like Mitaravad Mahtab with Keyvan Saket (2013) and Whisperings with Mezrab Ensemble and Hamid Motebassem (2014). Aghili's performances have taken him across Iran, Europe, and America, showcasing his versatility in traditional Persian music.
