Miguel Cantos Gómez, known professionally as Saiko, is a Spanish singer, songwriter, and producer from Granada, considered one of the most promising artists in Spain's urban music scene. Saiko's musical journey began when he started rapping at the age of 14. In 2019, he and his brother formed a duo called Wiso y Saiko, but the duo dissolved soon afterwards. Determined to make his mark, Saiko went solo in 2020 and released his first single, "Te Quiero Fuera," followed by tracks like "Tropically" and "Colombiana." 2021 saw him achieving a bit more recognition with songs such as "ConfÃa," "Humedad," "Vibra," and "Cosas Que No Te Dije." However, it was in 2022 that his career truly began to take off. His collaboration with JC Reyes on "Cartier" and with Quevedo on "Jordan 1" brought him significant attention, with the latter accumulating over a million views. Another notable collaboration was "Humedad" with Lola Ãndigo and Alejo. 2022 also saw the release of the EP 1371 KM. In early 2023, Saiko released "Sikora," which quickly garnered over 650,000 views in less than two weeks, becoming one of his most popular songs. He also achieved a milestone of 1 million monthly listeners on streaming platforms for the first time in February 2023. Later that year, he released the song "Antidepresivos," an introspective reggaeton track that reached number 18 on the Spanish Top 100. He followed this success with headline collaborations like âBuenasâ with Quevedo and closing the year with the EP Saliendo del Planeta (2023), which framed his jump from viral tracks to a bigger narrative and included features such as Yandel (âCorleoneâ) and Polimá Westcoast (âSiempre Vas a Volverâ). In 2024, he made that leap official with his debut studio album SAKURA (2024), a 16-track set that widened his sound and network through collaborations including Dellafuente (âLunaâ), Omar Montes (âYo Lo Soñéâ), J Balvin, Mora, Bryant Myers, JC Reyes, and Dei V; the album became a defining statement of his early career in Spain and set the tone for a busy touring year. In 2025, after a brief pause, he returned with a more reflective angle on NATSUKASHII YORU (2025), led by singles like âNostalgiaâ and the Omar Courtz collaboration âLokenecesitas,â and also featuring an unexpected crossover with Leire MartÃnez on âMariposas.â By early 2026, Saiko pivoted into a tougher, throwback-leaning reggaeton mood with âDios los Bendigaâ alongside Tito El Bambino and followed with âFlaiteeraâ with Chilean collaborators, positioning both singles inside the concept of his next era, Los Angelitos.
