S1mba

Leonard Simbarashe Rwodzi aka S1mba, who was born in Zimbabwe on April 12, 1999, has been making a name for himself as a promising MC and singer-songwriter in the UK since the late 2010s. After making his first musical contact with African drums and percussion as a boy, his path led him to church, where the man from Swindon joined a local gospel choir. His vocal talent quickly became apparent, which ultimately paved the way for his career as a singer. S1mba's commercial breakthrough came with the single "Rover", which was released in 2018 in collaboration with fellow MC DTG, but only made it to number 3 in the British charts in 2020 and was even nominated for Song of the Year at the 2021 Brit Awards. The artist, whose stylistically variable sound oscillates between hip-hop, Afroswing, R&B and pop, released his next hit in 2020 with "Loose" (feat. KSI), which made it to number 14 in the UK charts. Just like " Rover", it is a pre-release of his 2021 premiere album Good Time Long Time, which features a creative collaboration with British rappers Tion Wayne and Fredo on "Bounce".
