Russell Crowe

Russell Ira Crowe, born on April 7, 1964, in Wellington, New Zealand, is an actor and musician known for his versatile roles in films. He began his acting career in Australia, appearing in television series such as Spyforce (1972). His breakthrough role came with the drama The Crossing (1990), where he played Johnny, earning him critical acclaim and a nomination for the Australian Film Institute Award for Best Actor. Crowe’s music career includes performing with bands such as 30 Odd Foot of Grunts (1992-2005), The Ordinary Fear of God (2005), and Indoor Garden Party (since 2017), as well as releasing The Crowe/Doyle Songbook, Vol. III with Alan Doyle in 2011, showcasing his talents as a singer and songwriter. Throughout his acting career, Crowe has been recognized with numerous awards, including an Academy Award for Best Actor for his role in Gladiator (2000). His notable film roles also include performances in L.A. Confidential (1997), Révélations (1999), and Un homme d'exception (2001). In 2024, he released the album Prose and Cons with his band Indoor Garden Party.
