Running Touch

Multi-faceted electronic artist Matthew Victor Kopp (born in Melbourne, Australia), known professionally as Running Touch, first entered the spotlight as the guitarist and founding member of nu metallers Ocean Grove, who formed in 2010. Downgrading his commitment with the band to a studio-only membership in 2014, he released his debut solo EP, A Body Slow, three years later via Island Records Australia/Universal Music Australia. The six-track record made it to Number 31 on the ARIA Digital Albums Chart and established the nu metaller as a shapeshifting electronic producer capable of constructing his sound from multiple textures and layers. This release laid the groundwork for the string of singles that would follow, including 2018's "My Hands," which was certified gold in Australia the following August, 2019's "When I'm Around You" and "Make Your Move" and 2020's "Meet Me" and "Juno." That same year, Running Touch joined forces with fellow countryman Hayden James for "Better Together," which was the third single from the latter's debut studio album Between Us (2019). The collaborative track went to Number 63 on the ARIA Singles Chart and at the APRA Music Awards of 2020, won the Most Performed Dance Work of the Year. In 2021, Running Touch dropped a duo of singles, "Juno" and "Ceilings."
